Independence day was celebrated to commemorate the takeover of Indian administration from the British and to honor the freedom fighters who fought tirelessly. The flag hoisting of the tricolor was held after the 7:30 AM mass. ICYM unit of our parish organized the ceremony.

President of Lions Club Bantakal BC Road Ln.Josil Errol Noronha hoisted the tricolor and addressed the gathering about the improvements, developments of our country post Independence. Our parish priest Rev. Fr. Henry Mascarenhas, Secretary of Parish Council Mr. Tony Monis, ICYM President Mr. Clarence Danthy were present. Ms. Samantha Monis Compered the program.
