Good Friday is observed as a day of mourning and silence by the Catholic church all over the world. As it marks the crucifixion of Jesus at Golgotha. The ceremony began at 3 pm. The way of the cross was conducted to commemorate the Passion of Christ. The Way of Cross was led by our parish priest Rev. Fr. Henry Mascarenhas. The prayers at each stations of the cross were read by the parishioners from 14 wards.
Rev. Fr. Charles Furtado OFM (Cap) led the Good Friday service along with Rev. Fr. Abhilash Pereira OFM Cap, and Rev. Fr. Henry Mascarenhas. The service was divided into 4 parts. The Reading of the Passion of Christ, Second Prayers with Special Intentions, Third Veneration of the Cross Fourth Holy Communion.
