Elders Day was celebrated on 23rd April 2023 in our parish. It was organised by Catholic Sabha, St Vincent De Paul Society and Family Commission units of our parish. This day is observed to identify and honor our elders/senior citizens from our parish. The celebration consisted of Eucharistic mass followed by a formal programme. Confessions of Elders were heard by our parish priest prior to the mass. The Eucharistic mass was celebrated at 11AM by our parish priest Rev.Fr. Henry Mascarenhas.

A formal function was organised at the Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall. The programme started at 12:15PM. Rev.Fr.Henry Mascarenhas presided over the programme. Dr. Edward Lobo, trustee of Manasa School Pamboor and member of diocesan Catholic Sabha unit and member of Health Commission of our diocese was the guest of honor. President of Catholic Sabha Mr.Arun Noronha Welcomed the gathering. Souvenirs to the were distributed to the attendees. Dr.Edward Lobo addressed the gathering with some key points about the health and wellbeing of our elders. Rev.Fr.Henry also expressed his happiness over the bonds shared by the elders with the younger generation. He also appreciated the role of our elders in keeping the families united and living harmoniously and peacefully at their respective homes. The Sponsors for the programme were felicitated by our parish priest.

Mr.Lucas Dsouza conducted some spot games and quiz. He was also joined by Mr.Edward Menezes. Mrs. Violet Castelino proposed the Vote of Thanks. Mr.Fredrick Menezes compered the programme. The celebration concluded with Lunch at 1:30PM. Around 150 elders attended the program.
